DESCRIPTION OF ABOVE SERVICE:

	Offers drop-in for new moms, Public Health Nurse leads 
discussions on breastfeeding and other aspects of infant care: juice and 
snacks are provided: sessions are held every Tuesday 1:30 - 3 p.m. at 
Pearkes Community Recreation Centre, (3100 Tillicum Rd.)  Parent and Tot 
drop in at same location Monday to Thursday, 9:30 - 12:10, and Baby Talk 
Two (7 -18 months) Thursdays at Western Communities Offices (2782 
Millstream Rd.)

	Offers prenatal information and education, prenatal and parenting 
books and vidos for loan, contacting of all new mothers, home visit for 
first time time mothers, home visits to mothers of subsequent babies as 
needed, breastfeeding support, new parent discussion groups, "Nobody's 
Perfect Parenting Program". Western Communities office offers pre- and 
postnal drop in and teen prenatal and teen parent support group at 
Belmont school.
