This ignores what is arguably the single largest use of CD-ROMs--plain distribution media, like any other. The bulk of the book concentrates on authoring and presentation. This material will be familiar to anyone who has already done any work on compound document preparation, CD-ROM or not. Other sections emphasize business models, and this content will come as little surprise to those who have managed projects or drawn up budgets. The really interesting part of the book is chapter nine, on the physical manufacture of CD-ROMs. copyright Robert M.
