Felici has written a very useful, realistic, and understandable guide. Unfortunately, it's a bit long in the tooth now, and shows it. Much of the book is very specific, and therefore out of date. (Interestingly, a *lot* of the Mac specific material was out of date even when the book was written.) Still, this could provide the novice with some ready background on computers in general (as long as the reader understands that the first few conversations with salescritters are going to require a couple of generations of upgrading ...) copyright Robert M.
