This introduction to Java language programming has been "field tested" as a Web
site prior to publication.  It also uses a moderately interesting "ski trail"
format to direct the reader/student through various streams of interest.
 
Unfortunately, neither of these tricks is enough to make the book really stand
out from the crowd of Java books.  The material is clear enough, but isn't
presented to any particular advantage.
