A sampler this definitely is, and quite a fascinating one at that.  Drawing on
articles from the first year of publication of the "Linux Journal", there are
sections on the basics, case studies, interviews, opinions, relations with
other operating systems, system administration, and a few technical articles.
 
The "resources" tend to be more in the appendices: a list of online and print
sources of information, one of Linux vendors, and one of user groups.
 
Probably any Linux user could find something in here of use, although few would
be able to put the whole book to work.  Any enthusiast, though, will find much
of interest in its pages.
