For those who are deeply involved in physics, there is relatively
little to be found in this book.  There is even a teensy error in
chapter one.

However, for those with a passing familiarity with tools, who have
perhaps put together a breadboard radio, here is a cookbook of recipes
for a bugging device, a light show, a laser pistol, a communications
channel, and more.  This book covers tools, parts, basic physics,
safety, optics, optical benches, optical experiments, interferometry,
power supplies, gas and semiconductor lasers, power supplies,
fiberoptics, holography, seismology, computer control, and sources of
equipment and information.

OK, so maybe you can't knock out spy satellites.  You can have a lot
of other fun.
