This book will give you some of the terms and hardware for linking Macs with
Appletalk.  It will not, however, give you much in the way of concepts or
details.  This may be helpful to those who want handholding for a very simple
network, but it won't help professionals solve problems with either Appletalk
or mixed protocol networks.
 
The lack of explanation or standard terminology ensures that network
professionals or support staff will not be able to deal effectively with
evaluation and management of the net, although they should be able to work out
the wiring diagrams.  It is unlikely that the information given will help users
diagnose difficulties.  If it isn't "plug and play", this book probably won't
help get it going.
