You get directions on getting and installing Mosaic. Instruction on editing the MOSAIC.INI file is very basic, but should be sufficient for anyone who has worked with .INI files before. Background material is minimal, but the chapter on HTML is quite suitable for those creating their first home page--and probably for a long time thereafter. About half of the book is a listing of World Wide Web sites in a variety of subjects. There are a number of other Mosaic guides, but they tend to include a lot of background explanation which may either confuse or irritate those who only want to know what button to push. Gauer's is a good, basic user-level manual. copyright Robert M.
